 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. LAGOS STATE IS NOT PRIVATIZING WATER CORPORATION-ADEJARE.

          The Commissiner for the Environment,Dr. Babatunde Adejare disclosed this today at the monthly Press Briefing of the Ministry of the Environment,organized to inform and enlighten the general public on the activities of the State government concerning the environment.Adejare stated that rather than privatize,the State government would collaborate with Interested private individuals or organisations to build water works under a Public Private Partnership arrangement in which the private sector partner would build,operate and charge reasonable amount for their services.he said this move became necessary as the cost of building single water works had skyrocketed due to the exchange rat volatility,whereas government has limited resources with competing needs across sectors.''We cannot afford to stick to the status-quo as are battling with vector-borne diseases and we need to sort out the issue of appropriate pricing.Currently Water Corporation charges 5k per liter against N00 per liter charged by the local water vendor'',he said.Adejare maintained that water supply in the State was being given a new lease of life as most of the water
