 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. ANAMBRA OFFICIALS WOULD VISIT SOUTH AFRICA IN JANUARY 2017 TO SEAL A PARTNERSHIP DEAL ON AGRICULTURE.

                  Nigeria's Consul General in South Africa,Ambassador Uche Ajulu-Okeke told the News Agency of Nigeria {NAN} through a telephone conversation on friday that the visit was part of the Federal Government's intervention programme on agriculture.She said that the North-West Province of South Africa had already accepted to train the officials and share experience on how to boost food production.She said ''The session will determine the modalities for the implementation of the engagement.We are very happy with this engagement because the province is willing to work with Nigeria.They will partner with the state to ensure the success of the Federal Government's agriculture intervention fund.The partnership will benefit Nigeria because it will assist us boost food production,create jobs and boost our economy''.Ajulu-Okeke further said that she had visited a special school in the province that provides training for tourists and chefs as well as those interested in hotel management.
