 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired. ANAMBRA OFFICIALS WOULD VISIT SOUTH AFRICA IN JANUARY 2017 TO SEAL A PARTNERSHIP DEAL ON AGRICULTURE.

                  Nigeria's Consul General in South Africa,Ambassador Uche Ajulu-Okeke told the News Agency of Nigeria {NAN} through a telephone conversation on friday that the visit was part of the Federal Government's intervention programme on agriculture.She said that the North-West Province of South Africa had already accepted to train the officials and share experience on how to boost food production.She said ''The session will determine the modalities for the implementation of the engagement.We are very happy with this engagement because the province is willing to work with Nigeria.They will partner with the state to ensure the success of the Federal Government's agriculture intervention fund.The partnership will benefit Nigeria because it will assist us boost food production,create jobs and boost our economy''.Ajulu-Okeke further said that she had visited a special school in the province that provides training for tourists and chefs as well as those interested in hotel management.
