 Group demands declaration of Aba North Assembly seat vacant, threatens protest A group known as the Coalition of Aba North Ethnic Youth Groups has mandated the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emereuwa to declare the Aba North seat vacant in seven days. The Aba North seat has been a subject of controversy since November 27, 2023, when the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos sacked Destiny Nwagwu of LP and declared Aaron Uzodike of the PDP, the duly elected member to represent Aba North. However, the seat has remained unoccupied since November 2023, as Uzodike of PDP has not been inaugurated by the Speaker, despite his several appeals. A fresh controversy erupted Friday, as the Coalition of Aba North Ethnic Youths Groups, asked the Speaker to declare the seat vacant within seven days or expect a city-wide protest in Aba.                                                                         The cute little girl who acted as Antara in the New Zee world series Antara,she is identified as Zaynah Vastani.She maybe five then when she played the role but she was ready for the challenging role as an autistic child in Aap Ki Antara.The show traces the girl's life,and how her disability tests her family.Zaynah,who has an identical twin Ziyah,got the part because their mother Havov didn't want her to feel left out.You see,her sister has a film in her kitty.Their mother further said ''Ziyah plays Darsheel Safary's sister in Bum Bum Bole.I didn't want Zaynah to feel left out,so I was waiting for something interesting for her.When she got this offer,we grabbed it because it was for Zee TV.Also,we loved the character.Antara only has to react to situations.There are hardly any dialogues for her,so it's not difficult.It helps tha Zaynah has appeared in several ads like Britania,Godrej,Santoor,Sunsilk and Peposodent along with her twin.Though Aap Ki Antar is Zaynah's first television show,she did not have to audition for it.A friend from the industry told me about the show.We sent in a few pictures of Zaynah and she was selected''.Antara series was released June 1,2009-February 18,2010 but it is recently being showed to Africans on Zee World in 2016.So the twin sisters would be around 11-12 years old now.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
