 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.                       Mammoth crowd of the voting public in Ondo State graced the 2016 Governorship campaign flag off of the APC canditates.Rotimi Akeredolu,SAN.President Muhammad Buhari who was unavoidably absent {the President today was engaged with the swearing-in of the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria} was represented by the SGF.The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives,Hon Lasun Yussuf also attended.Governors of Ogun,Ibikunle Amosun,Sokoto,Aminu Tambuwal; Bauchi,Mohammed Abubakar,Borno,Governor,Shettima Kazeem ,Muhammadu Abubakar of Bauchi and Sam Otom of Benue State graced the occassion.Also,former Governors of Osun,Idiaka Adeleke; Ekiti,Niyi Adebayo and Segun Oni,among others were present.Former Speaker of Lagos State and Senator Olorunibe Mamora also attended.Also in attendance were not less than seven ministers.They are Adebayo Shittu {Communications}, Mr Usani {Niger Delta Affairs}, Dr Kayode Fayemi {Solid Minerals}, Chris Ngige {Labour},Prof Isaac Adewole {Health}, and Prof Claudius Daramola {Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs}.More photos below
