 Fairfield, Illinois- A former Fairfield Community High School volunteer tennis coach has been arrested for Aggravated S*xual Assault with a student. 38-year-old Joshua Rockett was arrested on April 14th by the Fairfield Police. According to reports, Rockett is being charged in connection to allegations of S*xual Assault to a student under his care and trust.  The minor, who is a student at Fairfield High School, is over 13 years of age but under 17. Rockett is being charged with Aggravated Criminal S*xual Abuse (class 1 felony) to a child under 18 while under his trust, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a person under 18 with the assaulter being over 5 years older than the victim (class 2 felony) and Criminal S*xual Abuse/Unable to Consent (class 4 felony).  Joshua Rockett is currently being held in White County Jail with no bond for the three felonies. PRESIDENT BUHARI IS SET TO ATTEND THE 4TH AFRICA-ARAB SUMMIT IN EQUATORIAL GUINEA,NOVEMBER 23.

Related image                         Mr Femi Adesina,the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity,made this known in a statement in Abuja today monday.According to Adesina,the summit which will be attended by Heads of State and Governments from Gulf and African countries,is expected to endorse the Malabo Declaration and Action Working Plan for 2017-2019 to promote trade and economic ties.The two year plan seeks to implement priority projects in trade,investment,transportation,communication and energy in Africa.''In Malabo,President Buhari is also expected to hold discussions with Arab leaders aimed to review agreements to strengthen partnerships that bolster agriculture and infrastructure development in Nigeria through long-term concessionary loans and technological skills transfer''.Adesina stated that the President would also explore the opportunity of getting support for the ongoing fight against Boko Haram and the humanitarian situation in the North East.The summit is jointly organized by the African Union Commission and league of Arab States.It focuses on promoting development by strengthening trade,investment,transport,communication and energy among Gulf and African states.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
