FG MOVES TO CUT EDUCATION COSTS, PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY WITH REUSABLE TEXTBOOK POLICY The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled a comprehensive policy framework aimed at reducing the cost of education for parents, improving learning outcomes, and promoting sustainability in schools through the adoption of reusable, high-quality textbooks and strengthened quality assurance mechanisms. The policy, jointly issued by the Honourable Minister of Education Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa and the Honourable Minister of State for Education Prof Suiwaba Sai'd, forms part of ongoing reforms to reposition Nigeria’s education sector and ease the financial burden on families. The Duchess of Cambridge attended a special Cub Scout Pack meeting on wednesday night with Cubs from Kings Lynn District to celebrate 100 years of Cubs.Her Royal Highness joined the Pack as they took part in games and activities themed around looking after yourself and others physically and emotionally.They then joined together to renew their Cub Scout promise and celebrate the Cub's 100th anniversary with the lighting of 100 candles and a rendition of happy birthday!.Cub Scouting was co-founded by Robert Baden-Powell and Vera Barclay on the 16th December 1916.More photos below.
