 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. F.H.C IN ABUJA ORDERED THE RELEASE OF SHIITE LEADER IBRAHIM EL-ZAKZAKY.{PHOTOS}.

Image result for ibrahim el-zakzaky                              According to sources,the embattled spiritual leader Shiites sec,Ibrahim El-Zakzaky,who has been in detention with his wife Zeatudden,have been ordered to be released by the Federal High Court,Abuja.The court presided over by Justice Gabriel Kolawole,ordered the government to free the duo unconditionally within 45 days.They have been in custody for one year following their arrest after El-Zakzaky followers  clashed with the military in Zaria,north central Kaduna state,causing the death of more than 300 Shiites.The court also ordered the Federal Government to provide a new accommodation for El-Zakzaky in Zaria or any northern town of his choice.The court also awarded El-Zakzaky and his wife N50 million as general damages.The court made the order while delivering judgement on a fundamental right enforcement suit El-Zakzaky filed against the government.The court dismissed government's position that the applicant and his wife were under ''protective custody''.The Shiite leader on the platform of Islamic Movement of Nigeria who has been in detention since December 14,2015,applied for the enforcement of his fundamental rights to life,personal liberty,dignity of human person,right to private and family life and private property.According to NAN,his arrest and detention followed a bloody clash between members of the sec and soldiers attached to the Chief of Army Staff,Major General Tukur Buratai,at Zaria,Kaduna State.More photos below.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
