 EFCC Arraigns Two Suspected Fraudsters for Impersonating Kano Oil Mogul The Kano Zonal Directorate of the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC, has arraigned the duo of Sulaiman Inuwa Zakiru and Aliyu Ahmed before Honourable Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu of the Kano State High Court on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretenses.   The defendants allegedly conspired to impersonate Alhaji A.A. Rano, a prominent oil mogul and owner of A.A. Rano Oil and Gas Limited and defrauded their victims  the sum of  N12,000,000 (Twelve Million Naira) for payment for an oil allocation purportedly issued by A.A. Rano Oil and Gas. The principal suspect, Sulaiman Inuwa Zakiru allegedly defrauded the petitioner  by claiming that A. A. Image may contain: 7 people, people smiling, people standing                  Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on sundy counseled the youths in the State on the need to embrace hardwork,saying that such was important to be successful in life.Governor Ambode,who spoke in Epe during the ongoing One Lagos Fiesta,an annual end of the year revue put together by the State Government,said it was important for the young ones to cultivate the habit of working hard,as such would go along way in making them to achieve their dreams.While recalling his days growing up in Epe,the Governor said he became the Chief Executive Officer of Lagos State through the grace of God and hardwork,assuring that as government,his administration would continue to create the enabling environment for the youths in the State.He said ''What I want to tell all of you is that we believe so much in all you;we know that you are our future; I also started from here and today by the grace of God,I happened to be your Governor andd so there will be many more Governors from this crowd.But if you want to be a President;if you want to be a Governor; if you want to be a Doctor or you want to be a lawyer and so on,you must now work hard.So,even when you work hard,our duty as government is to provide the enabling environment for all of you and so we are going to create more jobs for our youths and also we will create more facilities so that you crave on your talents to become more creative''.Besides,the Governor said as a means of helping the youths to achieve their dreams,the State Government has already created the Employment Trust Fund {ETF},and urged them to take advantage of the fund..More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
