 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Question: How long are you planning to stay in the east this season?
Reply: For now an in Onitsha and I arrived here yesterday and I intend to stay here for 8 days.
Question: So what other activities are you doing tomorrow Christmas day?
Reply: Tomorrow after service i will cook,before going to GRA Onitsha to see my childhood friend and her family.
Question: How is the recession affecting your Christmas?
Reply: Recession did not affect my Christmas that much because i cut my clothe according to my size in terms of what I bought,And I was able to travel of which I do yearly.
Question: Do you have anybody or group of people you want to wish a Merry Christmas?
Reply: Yes I would like to wish my immediate family,friends and well wishers,facebook friends,and everyone that contributed and impact in my life positively a happy Christmas and new year in advance.
