 Anambra :Otu Odu Society Is To Value Culture, Reach Out To People Says Iyom Ugodiche  By Juliana Nwachukwu  Mrs Ijeoma Obiegbunam, wife of a business magnate, Oba Ifeanyi Obiegbunam, who was conferred with a Chieftaincy title of Iyom Ugodiche on April 20, said that Otu Odu Society is to value culture and reach out to people. Mrs Obiegbunam who said this to Newsmen after her conferment by the Otu Odu Society of Agukwu Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, said that it involved lots of things including finances. According to her, It is not just a society meant for every woman but women of honour who stand by the truth and display humility. Two things are necessary in this Otu Odu society, one is to value culture, that is to uphold the culture of the Igbo race and the second one is to reach out to people. Image result for donald trump                     According to CNN,President Donald Trump had signed what the White House described as executive orders that begin moving towards building a wall on the US-Mexico border,boosting border patrol forces and ordering an increase in deportations of undocumented immigrants.''This is border security.We've been talking about this from the beginning.This is going to bring it over the top'',Trump said as he signed the first of two orders during a visit to the Department of Homeland Security,the agency that would implement those actions.The executive orders also seek to encourage sanctuary cities and the practice of releasing undocumented immigrants detained by federal officials before trial.White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the executive action directed at sanctuary cities that ''harbor illegal immigrants''.Construction of the wall could begin in months,but planning for the massive project is ''starting immediately,;; Trump said today in an interview with ABC News.Trump confirmed his plans to build the wall with federal funds and then seek reimbursement from Mexico,an idea Mexico has resisted.But negotiations,he said,would begin ''relatively soon,I'm telling you there will be a payment.It will be in a form,perhaps a complicated form'' Trump said.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
