 A Limpopo man who stabbed his girlfriend to death in front of his own mother will spend the next 20 years in prison. The Polokwane High Court sentenced 48 year old Nathaniel Molatelo Mokgehle from Sekonye Village in the Botlokwa policing area for the murder of his girlfriend, 41 year old Mokgadi Julia Mohlaela. The court heard he chased her out of the house and continued stabbing her until she collapsed and died. Mokgehle also received six months for malicious damage to property. The sentence will run at the same time as the 20 year murder sentence. Evidence presented in court showed the victim had previously opened a malicious damage to property case against him. He was still attending court for that case when the murder happened. The attack happened on 08 June 2025 around 16:00 at his mother’s home in Sekonye Village. ILLEGAL OIL BUNKERING: NAVY HANDS OVER 3 SUSPECTS,4 VESSELS TO EFCC.{PHOTOS}.

Image may contain: 3 people, people standing and outdoor                           As part of its collaborative efforts to sanitize the Nigeria waterways and to rid it of illegal oil bunkering,the Nigerian Navy,NNS Pathfinder on friday January 6,Twenty seventeen in Port Harcourt,Rivers State handed over three persons suspected to be involved in illegal oil bunkering and four Tug Boats-MV Kesst1,MV Thames,MV Lolo14 and MV Lolo Twenty to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for further investigation and possibly prosecution.The suspects,Damiete Kemuel,Francis Egbedi and Dum Nwineedam and their vessels were intercepted by officials of NNS Pathfinder at Abuloma following intelligence reports.
The vessels-MV Kessy 1,MV Thames,MV Lolo14 and MV Lolo Twenty were said to have been loaded with an estimated 40MT each of suspected illegally refined AGO.
Operatives of the Commission have swung into action in conjunction with other relevant government agencies for further details.The suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is completed.More photos below.
