 Flags honoring Danish troops restored at US embassy after public backlash     The removal of flags honoring Danish soldiers who were killed while serving in Afghanistan has sparked widespread anger in Denmark after staff at the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen took them down ahead of a planned silent march honoring veterans. The flags, which had been placed in flower boxes outside the embassy and bore the names of fallen Danish troops, were removed days before a Jan. 31 demonstration intended to show solidarity with veterans and commemorate their sacrifices. The timing intensified public backlash, particularly following recent remarks by President Donald Trump that appeared to minimize the role played by NATO allies during the war in Afghanistan. LAGOS STATE GOVT IS SET TO PROSECUTE 210 ARRESTED MISCREANTS FROM OSHODI.{READ}.

No automatic alt text available.                  Lagos State Government is set to prosecute 210 miscreants and hoodlums arrested by the operatives of the Lagos State Task Force during a recent operation carried out in Oshodi.
The Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force,SP Olayinka Egbeyemi,who made the disclosure,said the raid was carried out by the Agency on the directive of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode through the State Commissioner of Police,Mr Fatai Owoseni.According to him,the alleged miscreants,hoodlums and ex-convicts were arrested along railway lines,markets and under the bridge at Oshodi between midnight and 5am on friday.
While commending the present administration for its efforts at re-developing Oshodi and other parts of the State to a Mega-City status,he enjoined members of the public to always inform security outfits of any criminal activities within their area.
He noted that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Mr. Fatai Owoseni has since directed that the arrested miscreants and hoodlums be charged to court.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
