 HERDSMEN KILL DRIVER ON HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN TARABA STATE  10th January, 2026      A commercial driver, Mr. Amishe Omeny, has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen while on a humanitarian visit to a displaced community in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State. The deceased, from Tse Amise after Tseem, was reportedly attacked on Friday within Chanchanji Ward as he travelled to Adokia, a displaced settlement located after Tseem Sabe. He was said to have gone to the area to assist villagers with the transportation of foodstuffs. Sources in the community told Benue Info-pedia, that Omeny volunteered his services as a driver to support residents affected by ongoing insecurity, when he was ambushed and killed by the assailants. The killing has sparked grief and outrage among residents, who described the incident as tragic and senseless. NIGERIAN TROOPS RECOVER SHILKA AND GUN TRUCK FROM FLEEING BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS.{PHOTO}.

WhatsApp Image 2017-02-01 at 10.50.04 AM                     Troops of 25 Task Force Brigade,7 Division Nigeria Army on Operation LAFIYA DOLE during clearance operation at Dulsa and Buk,Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State,today had an encounter with fleeing Boko Haram terrorists in which they recovered Armoured Fighting vehicle,trucks,arms and ammunition.
At Dulsa this morning,the troops cleared the hideout of the terrorists during which they neutralized 6 Bok Haram terrorists during which they neutralized 6 Boko Haram terrorists,recovered 1 Light Machine Gun,2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Tubes and 1 Extra Anti-Aircraft Gun Barrel.The troops also encountered Boko Haram terrorists camp at Buk where they were engaged by the terrorists.During the encounter,the troops neutralized large number of the Boko Haram terrorists and wounded several others.They also made an unprecedented recovery.The items recovered include 9 AK-47 rifles,3 Fabrique Nationale rifles,2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Bombs,1 Mortar Tube,1 Shilka,1 Gun truck mounted with Anti-Aircraft Gun and 2 Hilux vehicles.Unfortunately however,3 soldiers paid the supreme price,while 5 others were wounded in action.
Similarly,1 Mine-Resistant,Ambush-Protected vehicle belonging to the Brigade was badly damaged.The bodies of the late soldiers and those that sustained injuries have since been evacuated.The wounded soldiers are in stable condition.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
