 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired. Image may contain: 2 people, people sitting                  Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday thursday charged fellow All Progressives Congress {APC} Governors to devise ingenious ways and means of meeting the expectation of the electorate.The Governor,ho spoke through his Deputy,Dr. Oluranti Adebule,at the opening of the inaugural meeting of Secretaries to State {SSG} in APC states held at Ikeja,Lagos,said that the call was in line with the vision of the party to provide accountable and responsive leadership to the citizenry.According to Ambode,the Progressive Governors Forum {PGF} initiated the Quarterly meetings of the SSGs as part of efforts to meet the expectations of the electorates as well as boost accountability among APC serving Governors to same.''For us on the PGF platform,this is not a moment for self-adulation,but that of self-examination and stock taking.Our desire is to promote synergy and experience sharing,as a basis for the adoption and uniform implementation of policy initiative across all APC States.This makes it necessary for us to frequently present our thoughts,strategies and actions to the honest scrutiny of our colleagues.That is the very essence of the peer review effort we are promoting by this gathering'',he stressed .
