 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming. EFCC RECOVERS JEWELLERIES WORTH MILLIONS OF NAIRA FROM FORMER NSA IN-LAW'S RESIDENCE TODAY IN KANO.{PHOTOS}

Image may contain: indoor                   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered jewelleries worth millions of Naira from the house of one Akka Babba Danagundi,brother-in-law t a former National Security Adviser to Late President,Umar Musa Yar'aduwa,Major General Abdullahi Sarki Mukhtar.The jewelleries were found in a fireproof safe hidden in a house belomging to one Akka Babba Danagundi at No.375,Gwangwazo quarters of Kano Municipal,Kano State.About 50 documents in respect of landed properties bearing the name of the former NSA and his wife,Binta Sarki Mukhtar were also discovered.
This discovery was sequel to an intelligence report alleging that huge sums of money including foreign currencies were hidden in the premises.During the operation,Aiko Fireproof safe and seven suspects including the house owner,Danagundi were arrested and brought to EFCC's Kano Zonal Office where their statements was taken.On arriving at the commission's Kano Zonal Office,the safe was opened and jewelleries such as necklaces and wristwatches including 50 Certificates of Occupancy for properties located in Kano,Kaduna and Abuja were found.The jewelleries found include 55 wristwatches,including three gold watches.Also 37 gold jewellery weighing 1,907.9g and another 15 pieces of fashion jewwlleries were found.
All the suspects arrested during the operation were released on administrative bail with the exception of Danagundi who is still in custody,assisting the investigation.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
