 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. Image may contain: 3 people, people standing and outdoor                The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has recorded a sum of N906,684,498.26 as revenue collected in the first two months of the year 2017 {January and February}.The Command also recorded 344 seizures with duty paid value of N219,813,485.00 from 1st January to 26th March,2017.The Customs Area Controller incharge of th Command,Compt. Hassan Gangua said despite the daunting economic challenges,the performance of the Command in terms of revenue collection and anti-smuggling campaign has been impressive.The CAC called on traditional rulers,religious leaders and distinguished personalities in the state to join in the campaign against smuggling for the economic well-being of the Country.More photos below.
