  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Image result for abba kyari chief of staff                     Garba Shehu,the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity,stated this in Abuja yesterday sunday night,in reaction to social media reports on the purported resignation of Kyari and Daura.Shehu,who frowned at the report,said the Chief of Staff left Abuja on saturday for China on a presidential assignment and would be back by the middle of the week.He said ''The report is pure mischief.What I can tell you is that the President sent the Chief of Staff Malam Abba Kyari to China on an assignment.He left on Saturday and we are expecting him by the middle of the week.The DG DSS,who spoke with me a few hours ago,is busy on his job.Nothing to indicate resignation.I think these are mere distraction''.
