 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Image result for abba kyari chief of staff                     Garba Shehu,the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity,stated this in Abuja yesterday sunday night,in reaction to social media reports on the purported resignation of Kyari and Daura.Shehu,who frowned at the report,said the Chief of Staff left Abuja on saturday for China on a presidential assignment and would be back by the middle of the week.He said ''The report is pure mischief.What I can tell you is that the President sent the Chief of Staff Malam Abba Kyari to China on an assignment.He left on Saturday and we are expecting him by the middle of the week.The DG DSS,who spoke with me a few hours ago,is busy on his job.Nothing to indicate resignation.I think these are mere distraction''.
