 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. A MAN ''EMMANUEL'' IS LEFT PERMANENTLY BLIND IN BOTH EYES AFTER ACID ATTACK IN OGBARU ANAMBRA STATE.{PHOTOS}.

Image may contain: one or more people                      The young man pictured above simply identified as Emmanuel,has been left blinded in both eyes after a member of his community identified as Wike Ugonna allegedly attacked him with acid during a land dispute at their village in Atani in Ogbaru local government area of Anambra State on May 10th,2017.According to reports,Emmanuel's family had approached Wike's family to use a part of a land they use for farming in their community but the Wike's family turned down their request.This created a friction between both families.On the day of the attack,Emmanuel was said to be working on another person's farmland whenWike approached him and allegedly poured acid on him and also cut him with a machete.Wike is currently on the run.More photos below.
