  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. Image result for roger moore before and after              Sir Roger Moore who acted in James Bond in the 70's,has died at the age of 89 after a short but brave battle with cancer.In a statement announcing his death,the London-born family said that the iconic actor had been surrounded by love in his final days in Switzerland.It added: ''It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our loving father has passed away today in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer.The love with which he has surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified in words alone.Our thoughts must now turn to supporting Kristina at this difficult time,and in accordance with our father's wishes there will be a private funeral in Monaco''.His family revealed that his funeral will take place in Monaco,where he lived with his fourth wife Kristina Tholstrup.May his soul rest in peace Amen.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
