 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. NIGERIAN AIR FORCE NEUTRALISES GATHERING OF BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN MANGOSUM.

Image result for nigerian airforce                                                   The Nigerian Air Force component of operation Lafiya dole has conducted an air interdiction mission on some remnants of the boko haram terrorists in a village 3.42 km Northeast of Mangosum.Air Commodore Director of Public Relations and Information,Olatokunbo Adesanya said the Nigeria Air Force,NAF,had successfully provided air cover to troops of 27 Task Force Battalion thereby enabling them to repel an attack by the terrorists.He said that the battle damage assessment conducted after the strike showed that several leaders of boko haram terrorist group and their followers were killed during the attacks.Meanwhile,a sizeable cache of weapons and equipment of the terrorists group were destroyed.
