 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. MANY INJURED AFTER A 42 YEAR OLD WOMAN,DROVE RECKLESSLY INTO FAMILIES GATHERING FOR EID PRAYERS TODAY NEAR NEWCASTLE.{PHOTOS}

                         According to sources,this woman above is the driver suspected of accidentally injuring six people including three children when her car careered out of control through a field full of hundreds of Muslims who had been celebrating the end of Ramadan today sunday.The car ploughed into crowds who had packed into a sports pitch that was serving as a car park for Eid celebrations in Westgate Community College,/newscastle.Witnesses said the driver,a 42 year old Muslim woman,got into her car at 9.14am after prayers when she hit the gas not the break and sped into adults and children.Victims fled as the car sped around the field,just down the road from Newcastle Central Mosque,before a bystander leapt in and pulled the handbrake.The woman was arrested and taken into custody but police said the incident was not terror related.The car was later filmed being taken away to be analysed.Speaking just before 2pm,Assistant Chief Constable Darren Best said two of the children and one adult were still in intensive care at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.More photos below.
