COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action. Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice. The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. Senate President Bukola Saraki shared on his social media some pictures as they welcomed the body of Ambassador Maitama Sule.He captioned all the photos ''This evening,I was humbled to join Governor Ganduje and other dignitaries to receive the body of the great Danmasannin Kano,Ambassador Maitama Sule.May the soul of the dear and departed Statesman be granted Al Jannah Firdaus''.Kano State government declared today tuesday July 4,2017 as public holiday to mourn his death.He died at a hospital in Cairo Egypt,where he was receiving treatment for an illness.The funeral prayer was conducted at the Emir's Palace,Kofar Kudu,around 4pm today.May his soul rest in perfect peace Amen.More photos below.
