 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. Image may contain: 4 people, crowd                    Senate President Bukola Saraki shared on his social media some pictures as they welcomed the body of Ambassador Maitama Sule.He captioned all the photos ''This evening,I was humbled to join Governor Ganduje and other dignitaries to receive the body of the great Danmasannin Kano,Ambassador Maitama Sule.May the soul of the dear and departed Statesman be granted Al Jannah Firdaus''.Kano State government declared today tuesday July 4,2017 as public holiday to mourn his death.He died at a hospital in Cairo Egypt,where he was receiving treatment for an illness.The funeral prayer was conducted at the Emir's Palace,Kofar Kudu,around 4pm today.May his soul rest in perfect peace Amen.More photos below.
