 Sudan urges displaced citizens abroad to return home Sudan has called on all displaced citizens living abroad to return home, as the government steps up efforts to facilitate voluntary repatriation and remove barriers facing returnees. Prime Minister Kamil Idris said his office is committed to easing the return process and ensuring citizens can actively contribute to rebuilding the country, state media SUNA reports. Speaking during a visit to the Ashkeit border crossing in Wadi Halfa, Idris said authorities have taken steps to eliminate illegal levies and ensure that returning citizens are not subjected to additional fees, compulsory charges or arbitrary customs duties. He noted that such practices had previously placed an unnecessary burden on citizens without benefiting the state. Image may contain: 4 people, crowd                    Senate President Bukola Saraki shared on his social media some pictures as they welcomed the body of Ambassador Maitama Sule.He captioned all the photos ''This evening,I was humbled to join Governor Ganduje and other dignitaries to receive the body of the great Danmasannin Kano,Ambassador Maitama Sule.May the soul of the dear and departed Statesman be granted Al Jannah Firdaus''.Kano State government declared today tuesday July 4,2017 as public holiday to mourn his death.He died at a hospital in Cairo Egypt,where he was receiving treatment for an illness.The funeral prayer was conducted at the Emir's Palace,Kofar Kudu,around 4pm today.May his soul rest in perfect peace Amen.More photos below.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
