Only lazy Nigerians depend on markets for food — Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi The Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, has come under criticism after saying Nigerians who rely on markets for food are “lazy”, as he urged citizens to embrace farming to tackle rising food prices. Nwaebonyi, who represents Ebonyi North Senatorial District, made the statement during an interview on The Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye which was published on August 1 with clips going viral on Friday, while defending the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. A CHINESE-MAN ARRESTED TODAY TRYING TO SMUGGLE OUT OF NIGERIA N305,000 IN 5 DENOMINATION.{PHOTO}.

              The EFCC has arrested one Ma Yongbin, 46, a Chinese national, at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport. Yongbin was arrested while trying to board Egypt Air to China where he was found to have in his possession undisclosed sum of N305,000 (Three Hundred and Five Thousand Naira Only) all in N5 denomination. Investigation is still ongoing. Similarly, Yasir Salihu Abdullahi was arrested at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport with 849 ATM cards. He was on board Egypt Air en-route Dubai.
