Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. Image may contain: 2 people, people sitting               The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has again assured Ekiti people that all the on going projects in the state would be completed before the end of his tenure.He gave the assurance while speaking at this year's edition of the Udiroko festival held at the palace of Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III.According to him, his developmental works in Ekiti especially in Ado would stand the test of time.He solicited the support of Ado people as the governorship election draws near saying he would bring his successor to the palace for the next year udiroko festival.Addressing the crowd, the Ewi Oba Rufus Adejugbe express appreciation to Governor Fayose for making Ado a befitting state capital.He called on Nigerian youths to embrace farming in order to solve the problem of unemployment while urging government at all levels to support them financially.The chairman of the occasion, Aare Afe Babalola congratulated Ado sons and daughters for witnessing another year.He thank Governor Fayose for making the development of Ado and the state his priority.  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
