 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. GUNMEN KILLED OVER 11 WORSHIPPERS AT ST PHILIP'S CATHOLIC CHURCH IN OZUBULU,ANAMBRA STATE TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

Image may contain: one or more people, people sitting and indoor         Some Gunmen stormed the St. Philip's Catholic Church this morning around 6am this morning (06 August 17) and opened fire on them killing over 11 worshippers most of which were women and children and 25 injured.
According to our correspondent who was at the scene of the incident, the gunmen were said to have gained entry into the church edifice in search of a South African-based indigene of the community popularly known as "Bishop"  {High Chief Aloysius Ikegwuonu,who was said to have built the church.

When they couldn't find him, they opened fire killing almost everyone in the church sanctuary while some members escaped with various degrees of injury.Governor Obiano promised to pay the hospital bills of victims.Details later.More photos below.
