 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. POLICE IN BENUE ENGAGED IN A GUN DUEL WITH GANG MEMBERS OF THE WANTED CRIMINAL ''GHANA''.{PHOTO}.

No automatic alt text available.            The Operation Zenda Special Crack Squad of the Benue State Command were engaged in a gun duel with Gang members of the wanted criminal aka "Ghana" on 11/08/2017 at about 0300hrs. 
The gun battle ensued when the Crack Squad stormed a criminal hideout at a location on the border with Taraba State, following a reliable information that Terwase Akwaza aka Ghana and his gang members were holding a meeting. The bandits immediately opened fire on sighting the Police team and in the ensuing gun duel, one Danladi Awudu aka Jerry who was hosting the meeting was hit by a bullet while others escaped with bullet wounds as there were traces of blood stains all over the place, however, he was confirmed dead on reaching the hospital.The team recovered an Assault rifle No. 2051679 with one hundred and fifteen (115) rounds of live ammunition, ten (10) live cartridges, assorted charms, two (2) army camouflage shorts and other items.Search for the fleeing members and the Gang leader aka Ghana is ongoing.
