 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. N72M FRAUD: EFCC ARRAIGNS FORMER BANK MANAGER & 3 OTHERS TODAY IN KEBBI.{PHOTO}.

     The EFCC today, September 27th, 2017 arraigned four suspected fraudsters Sani Abubakar, Abubakar Abdullahi, Mainasara Kallamu and Abdulrazaq Abdullahi before Justice Ibrahim Kangiwa of the Kebbi State High Court on eight count charge of conspiracy , forgery obtaining by false pretence and issuance of dude cheque. The accused persons allegedly conspired together and diverted N32,000,000 (Thirty Two Million Naira Only) being balance of the eight hundred units of motorcycles worth N72,000,000 (Seventy Two Million Naira) belonging to the complainant, one Ibrahim Iron by falsely claiming that the motorcycles were meant for the Nigerian Union of Teachers.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
