  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. SALLAH: LAGOS SPEAKER OBASA PREACHES LOVE,SACRIFICE AMONG NIGERIANS.

      The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has called on Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to imbibe the spirit of love and sacrifice for one another to replicate the lessons derived from the celebration of the Eid-l-Kabir.
According to the Lagos Speaker, love and sacrifice for one another are essential ingredients for nation building.
This advice was contained in the Sallah message of the Speaker released on Thursday, August 31st, 2017 which was signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Rasak.
Rt. Hon. Obasa stated that Nigerians should eschew bitterness and violence among themselves. "We should imbibe the spirit of love for one another as symbolised in the celebration of the Eid-l-Kabir. We should watch and be careful of our utterances to one another and a should endeavour to say things that will promote love and unity among ourselves," he said.
Obasa also urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as an act that can enhance unity and love among themselves.
The Lagos Assembly Speaker also admonished Nigerians to always remain vigilant all the time and to report promptly any act of utterance that can cause breach of peace in the country.
He also praised Nigerians for their support g the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration at both state and national levels. "We will always seek for your prayer, support and cooperation and I want to assure Nigerians that the APC administration at the centre and in Lagos will continue to put in place programmes and policies that will enhance the standard of living of our people and improve their welfare," the Lagos Assembly Speaker said.
While congratulating Nigerians, particularly Muslims, on the celebration of the Eid-l-Kabir, Rt. Hon. Obasa urged them to celebrate in peace and tranquility while sharing love and kindness among themselves.One more photo photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
