Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.         This Imo state born lady has shattered the record of the prestigious African Legal Awards to become the youngest African and first Nigerian to win the Attorney of the Year award in the 2017 edition of the prestigious award.
Adaku made history after she was selected among thousands of entries across the continent and the award ceremony held in Johannesburg.
The African Legal Awards recognises exceptional achievements from within Africa’s legal community and is hosted by Legal Week (organisers of the British Legal Awards) in association with the Corporate Counsel Association of South Africa (CCASA).
In 2016, Adaku was also named, and received award as one of the 40 Under-40 Leading Lawyers in Nigeria at the Nigerian Legal Awards 2016 which held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
"Africa’s 2017 Best Attorney" is a graduate of Law from the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka. She also bagged a Second Class Honours Upper Division from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja before proceeding to the University of Aberdeen in Scotland for her Master’s Degree in Law, where she specialised in Oil and Gas.Adaku Ufere is from Arondizuogu in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State. She is an international Oil and Gas lawyer and is Head of Energy Practice at the Pan African Law firm, the Centurion Law Group, with its headquarters in Johannesburg.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
