Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. ANAMBRA PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER EMERGES 2017 NIGERIA BEST TEACHER OF THE YEAR.

   Mr Okodo Nwoye, of Central School Abagana, in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state won the award organized by the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja.
Announcing his selection, the Director, Education Support Services in the Ministry, Mrs J. N Ibeh writing on behalf of the Minister of Education Adamu Adamu said that the award presentation ceremony will hold on Thursday, 5th of October 2017 at Eagle Square, Abuja during the World Teachers' Day celebration.
Nwoye's victory falls in line with the footsteps of the state born Roseline Nkemdilim Obi, a teacher at Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha who won the maiden edition of Maltina Teacher of the Year Award in 2015.
Speaking to ABS, the state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kate Omenugha said she is proud of Mr Nwoye and all the other hardworking teachers and staff in the State's Education System.Commissioner Omenugha explained that the national recognition of one of their teachers, is a clear manifestation of the efforts of Governor Willie Obiano in the Education Sector aimed at sustaining excellence and high standards in the state.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
