 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room.       Today sunday it was made know to the public that 72 year old Priscilla Presley,the wife of Elvis Presley,walked away from the controversial Church of Scientology nearly after four decades.She is believed to have joined Scientology after the death of her husband Elvis.Priscilla Presley recently said ''I've had enough.I'm done''.Another source said ''Priscilla reached out to John Travolta after Elvis died in 1977 and that's how she ended up in the church.She has been in it ever since and she raised her daughter Lisa Marie in it''.Her daughter Lisa Marie quit the church in 2014 and the source further said ''Lisa Marie leaving made it hard for Priscilla.They are very close as a family and leaving the church has been a family decision''.Scientology,founded by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard in 1955,has been the subject of controversy for years''.Both Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman ex-wives of Tom Cruise-have quit the church,including Demi Moore and film-maker Paul Haggis.They all described the church as ''evil cult'',adding: ''Everyone who's left has left quietly.Everyone is so scared; all the well-known people''.Scientologists go through a process of auditing in which they asked extremely personal questions about their lives,including their sexual orientation.More photos below.
