The Federal Road Safety Corps Management’s attention has again been drawn to the fraudulent activities by some dubious individuals who are bent on using the images of the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Boboye Oyeyemi to open purported Facebook accounts with intent to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. This is obviously a fake account. Clearly someone is being mischievous and wants to pose as the Corps Marshal to exploit friends and followers who must have innocently accepted the Facebook requests.
Conscious of the vulnerability of some people who might fall into the hands of these criminally minded people, we had earlier issued a disclaimer to warn members of the public to be wary of such deceptive plans. Accordingly, we have reported to Facebook Administrators and we want to warn members of the public not to take such fake and illegal account as genuine.
The general public is hereby cautioned and/or advised to disregard any information or Facebook accounts in the name of the Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi for any form of transactions as the Corps Marshal does not operate any Facebook account. The FRSC shall not be responsible for the consequences thereof.
Signed
Bisi Kazeem
Corps Public Education Officer.
