 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. OGUN STATE TO HOLD MONTHLY SANITATION WITH RESTRICTION TOMORROW.

   Ogun State Government will hold its monthly environmental sanitation exercise across the State on Saturday, October 28, 2017 between 7am and 10am.
A release signed by the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Bolaji Oyeleye indicated that there would be full restriction of human and vehicular movements across the 20 Local Government Areas of the State.The release further enjoined residents to comply with the restriction, as anyone who flouted the order risked government sanctions by the mobile court.It urged the residents to maintain clean and healthy environment by disposing their refuse and waste materials properly after the exercise, warning them to desist from bush burning which could lead to fire disasters as government would not relent at maintaining a clean environment.
