 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. PUBLIC ASSURANCE ON MEDICAL OUTREACHES BY THE ARMED FORCES OF NIGERIA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

    1. The Armed Forces of Nigeria has been in the global best military practice of impacting on the lives of Nigerians through medical outreaches. In this regard, quick impact medical outreaches are usually conducted during deliberate operations such as the war against insurgency and terrorism in the North East and routine training exercise like Egwu Eke II in the South East among others.
2. Particularly, the Nigerian Army on several occasions as aforestated carried out medical outreaches in virtually all the Geo-Political zones of Nigeria without any observation in the past. The same goes for the Nigerian Navy that does same during all its exercises in Southern parts of the Country. Similarly, Nigerian Air Force is equally in the lime light of medical outreaches including victims of natural disasters all over the Country.
3. Categorically, the practice of reaching out to the general public medically is akin to the key task of securing the lives and property of Nigerians. Therefore, it has and can never be done with ulterior motive. Thus, Nigerians should be assured that, the Armed Forces of Nigeria will continue to carry out its all encompassing constitutional responsibility of “National Security” of which health security is inclusive.
4. From the above, and in specific terms, the campaign of calumny against the Nigerian Army regarding the outbreak of Monkey Pox should be disregarded. It is the machination of the usual mischievous and disgruntled human gongs, who are always in the business of blackmailing the Military for their myopic selfish interests.
5. The Defence Headquarters hereby assures the general public of its commitment to genuine and sincere medical outreaches by members of the Armed Forces as it were. This is in view of the positive impact it has had on the local populace in Nigeria. All insinuations regarding Medical outreaches by the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force in the Country should be disregarded.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
