 PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MS. ADEDAYO BENJAMIN LANIYI AS DG/CEO OF THE MARYAM BABANGIDA NATIONAL CENTRE FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT President Bola Tinubu, has approved the appointment of Ms. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi as the Director-General /Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) and  members of the Governing Council  for an initial term of four (4) years. In a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume the appointment which takes effect from April 18, 2026, is in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (1) and (3) of the National Centre for Women Development (Amendment) Act, 2023.       On friday the 24th of November 2017,Luck ran out of two armed robbers who tried to steal from a 7up depot situated at Okoti, Odoekpe in Ogbaru Anambra state.According to eye witnesses, the robbers came on a kymco motorcycle, shot the salesman and tried to rob them of their sales for the day before some passersby overpowered and lynched them to death.More photos below.
