 Payment of Assessment Fee, not Building Permit , Planning Ministry Clarifies. By Ruth Orji The Anambra State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development has  clarified developers  that payment of an assessment fee does not automatically confer approval or grant a development permit. The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barr. Chijioke Ojukwu, stated this in a statement issued on August 24. According to the Commissioner, many developers mistakenly assume that payment of the assessment fee amounts to the approval of their building plans or the issuance of a development permit. He explained that Section 19 of the Physical Planning Regulations clearly states that payment of an assessment fee does not amount to the grant of a building permit, as the fee is strictly an application fee. *CUSTOMS ARRESTS TWO TRUCKS BELONGING TO DANGOTE GROUP LOADED WITH 365 BAGS OF FOREIGN RICE.{PHOTOS}.

     The Sokoto/Kebbi/Zamfara Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service has arrested two trailer trucks belonging to Dangote Group discovered to be loaded with 365 bags of 50kg size Foreign Parboiled Rice.
While inspecting these seizures at the Command Headquarters, the Customs Area Controller, Compt. Nasir A., disclosed that Foreign Rice which was prohibited from entry through the Land boarders contravened Federal Government’s fiscal policy on Rice. The CAC also revealed that the contraband items were arrested as a result of the vigilance of his Team of Officers on Border Patrol along Ilella /Sokoto Road.The contraband item which had a Duty Paid Value of N8, 748,320.00 (Eight Million, Seven Hundred and Forty Eight Thousand, Three Hundred and Twenty Naira) was arrested at on Friday, 0150hrs and Monday, 0529hrs respectively.Two Suspects were arrested along with the contraband items, the suspected importer is also in the custody of the Area Command and will be prosecuted in due course.More photos below.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
