 “We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence. HUNTERS INTERCEPTS SUSPECTED BOKO HARAM CATTLE RUSTLERS IN BIU, BORNO STATE YESTERDAY.

      Sequel to recent security challenges posed by Boko Haram terrorists in cattle rustling to raise funds for their criminal activities, hunters from Gur village in Biu Local Government Area (LGA), Borno State in conjunction with hunters from Damaturu at about 2:48pm on Thursday 23rd November 2017, intercepted suspected Boko Haram terrorists cattle rustlers east of Burashika village of Biu LGA.
During the encounter that lasted several hours, the hunters killed 1 Boko Haram terrorist, recovered an AK-47 rifle mounted with magazine of 2 rounds and 48 cows, 58 goats, 36 sheeps and 12 donkeys.
All the recovered livestock have been handed over to the security operatives in Gur village pending identification by the rightful owners and handover.
