 FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ASSURES PAYMENT OF  OUTSTANDING WAGE AWARD / PROMOTION ARREARS The Federal Government has assured public servants that the outstanding wage award will be paid before the middle of August, while promotion arrears are being processed as part of ongoing efforts to fulfil its commitments to workers. Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Taiwo Oyedele gave the assurance during a meeting with the leadership of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council.  He said the necessary release for the wage award is being concluded and eligible workers should start receiving payment before the middle of the month. Oyedele further confirms that promotion arrears, including Batch 7 which was earlier omitted, are being processed alongside Batch 9.    According to sources,52 years old Sacha Newley the son of Dame Joan Collins and Anthony Newly has said his late was a paedophile.He claimed that his father's dark sexual proclivity led to the bitter breakdown of his parents marriage.It comes as the portraitist prepares to release a memoir focusing on his childhood,entitled Unaccompanied Minor,this week.In an interview with The Sunday Times,Sacha bluntly addressed long-circulated rumours about his father's sexual interests.'He was a paedophile.My father was drawn t youthfulness,' He said.''He thought innocence was an aphrodisiac.That was his secual proclivity and it's a very dangerous,destructive thing''.Sacha added that growing up as a child in Hollywood saw him witness sex regularly.He said:''My father put sex front and centre.He exposed me to all of that-it was absolutely inappropriate''.The artist explained that his father's X-rated 1969 film,entitled Can Heironnymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness?,is a 'confession of paedophilia'.The film,written and directed by Anthony and starring himself as Merkin and Collins as his on-screen wife Polyester Poontang.Sacha and hiss sister Tara,now 54,played the couple's children.More photos below.
