 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming. LG ELECTIONS: KWARA STATE GOVT URGES CALM,VOWS TO DEAL WITH TROUBLEMAKERS.

         The Kwara State Government has called on all citizens and residents of the state to remain calm and law abiding.
In a statement by the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, the state government commended the peaceful conduct of Saturday's local government elections in the state and urged all law abiding citizens to calmly await the release of the official results of the elections.
The Government urged law abiding citizens to go about their normal activities without fear as security agencies are on standby to forestall any threat to public peace no matter the intentions or identity of those behind such actions.The Secretary to the State Government also warned those seeking to use the election as an excuse to instigate public disorder to have a rethink as anyone apprehended for such actions will face the full weight of the law.one more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
