  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”.        The Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has called on members of the Federal Civil Service of Nigerian Cooperative Societies Union to be prudent and transparent in managing peoples’ resources while stressing the need for a united front in the fight against corruption.Magu who identified corruption as the root cause of poverty and the reason for series of agitations and other vices in our society, made the plea on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 while receiving a delegation of the union who were at the Commission’s Head-Office, Abuja, on a courtesy visit.More photos below.
