 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.        The Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has called on members of the Federal Civil Service of Nigerian Cooperative Societies Union to be prudent and transparent in managing peoples’ resources while stressing the need for a united front in the fight against corruption.Magu who identified corruption as the root cause of poverty and the reason for series of agitations and other vices in our society, made the plea on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 while receiving a delegation of the union who were at the Commission’s Head-Office, Abuja, on a courtesy visit.More photos below.
