 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.        The President's plane landed at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport,Enugu,at 10.30am.From there the President proceeded to Abakaliki,to begin his 2-day working visit to Ebonyi and Anambra States.On arrival in Abakaliki,Ebonyi State,President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated a number of road Projects,including two flyovers on the section of the African Trans-Saharan Highway that runs between Enugu and Cameroon.Governor of Enugu State,Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi,expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for making a brief stop-over to greet Nigerians living in Enugu State.''I am overwhelmed with joy over the show of love and solidarity of Enugu residents to our admirable and loving President as he visits the South-East,which Enugu State is the capital of the zone''.Earlier,the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State,Mr Mohammed Danmallam,said that the police had put adequate security arrangement for the brief hosting of Mr President in Enugu.One more photo below.
