 World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler.        The President's plane landed at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport,Enugu,at 10.30am.From there the President proceeded to Abakaliki,to begin his 2-day working visit to Ebonyi and Anambra States.On arrival in Abakaliki,Ebonyi State,President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated a number of road Projects,including two flyovers on the section of the African Trans-Saharan Highway that runs between Enugu and Cameroon.Governor of Enugu State,Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi,expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for making a brief stop-over to greet Nigerians living in Enugu State.''I am overwhelmed with joy over the show of love and solidarity of Enugu residents to our admirable and loving President as he visits the South-East,which Enugu State is the capital of the zone''.Earlier,the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State,Mr Mohammed Danmallam,said that the police had put adequate security arrangement for the brief hosting of Mr President in Enugu.One more photo below.
