 FG MOVES TO CUT EDUCATION COSTS, PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY WITH REUSABLE TEXTBOOK POLICY The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled a comprehensive policy framework aimed at reducing the cost of education for parents, improving learning outcomes, and promoting sustainability in schools through the adoption of reusable, high-quality textbooks and strengthened quality assurance mechanisms. The policy, jointly issued by the Honourable Minister of Education  Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa and the Honourable Minister of State for Education Prof Suiwaba Sai'd, forms part of ongoing reforms to reposition Nigeria’s education sector and ease the financial burden on families. The Ministers explained that the policy prioritises the use of standardised, durable textbooks designed to last between four and six years, while expressly prohibiting the bundling of disposable workbooks with textbooks in schools. People have been left in a state of shock after a woman who wanted to marry a rich man buried her baby alive. It was gathered that the rich man proposed to her, and as a pre-condition for marriage, she was supposed to be single.Realizing that her baby would be a great impediment to her marrying the rich man, the woman buried her 3 month-old baby alive and claimed to be single. But, luck ran out on her after her evil plot was exposed. She took people to the place where she buried her baby and exhumed the dead child.According to Song Charger who shared the story on social media, the sad incident happened in Agbavi, Togo.The sad incident has left many people baffled how a mother who carried her child 9 months would resort to such devilish deed. The incident happened in a African country''.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
