 MODEL COLLEGES/UPGRADED JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCE E-REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2025 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Lagos State Government has commenced Year 2025 e-Registraton Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for primary 6 pupils transiting to junior secondary schools into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.  The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu confirmed that the e-Registration will commence on Thursday 6th February and ends on Friday, 16th May, 2025, adding that the Screening will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only between Wednesday, 28th May and Friday, 30th May, 2025, at the various CBT designated centres across the State. Mr. Orunsolu stressed that qualified pupils from public and private Schools are to pay a sum of #10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for the Application. ARMY HIERARCHY CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH TROOPS IN GWOZA AND BUNI YADI.{PHOTOS}.

     As has been the tradition, the hierarchy of the Nigerian Army is celebrating this year's yuletide period with troops in the field. This time around, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General TY Buratai, represented by the Chief of Administration (Army), Major General IM Alkali, Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, Major General NE Angbazo, Theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General RI Nicholas, General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General SK Usman, along with some of the Principal Staff Officers at Headquarters 7 Division and field commanders are celebrating the 2017 Christmas with the gallant troops of 26 Task Force Brigade, Operation LAFIYA DOLE. 
The venue for the celebration is the Headquarters complex of 26 Task Force Brigade, Gwoza in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The celebration of the Christmas with the troops apart from boosting troops morale, affords an opportunity to meet and celebrate the season of Christmas (love) amongst them in order to foster espirit-de- corps.Similarly, the Chief of Training and Operations (Army), Major General DD Ahmadu led another team to Headquarters 27 Task Force Brigade, Buni Yadi, Yobe State, where they celebrated the Christmas with the troops.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
