  “₦1,000 for just 8 tomatoes” — Man fumes over rising food prices, says Nigerians are suffering under hardship A Nigerian man has gone viral after lamenting the rising cost of food, revealing that he bought just eight tomatoes for ₦1,000 at a market in Yaba. In a video shared online, he questioned how families, especially large households, are expected to survive amid rising food prices, stressing that basic ingredients like tomatoes, pepper and onions have become increasingly difficult for many to afford. The visibly angry man also criticised the state of the country, expressing frustration over hardship, insecurity and the rising cost of living in Nigeria. Watch video below.

FIVE INNOCENT YOUNG MEN RELEASED FROM ENUGU PRISON AFTER FIVE YEARS.{PHOTOS}.

    Chinenye Genevieve sent in this story with some pictures which she captioned ''There were ecstatic jubilation of some awaiting trial men on wednesday at the Enugu high court complex when five of them who had spent five years in prison were discharged and acquitted of a crime they said they did not commit.
One of the freed men told me that their journey started since 2013 when they were detained by Enugu SARS at their cell but that it happened that one of the inmates who was as magic and was tortured by SARS men and that led to his death.Consequently according to the young man in his late twenties they were accused falsely of killing the young asthmatic boy. Five of them were as a result in ASA rated for five years but were discharged and abated for want of diligent prosecution by Hon. justice CI Nwobodo ,29/11/17''.More photos below.
