U.S CONGRESSMAN RAISES ALARM AS 600,000 DISPLACED CHRISTIANS CROWD BENUE IDP CAMPS 10th December, 2025 United States Congressman Riley M. Moore has raised fresh concerns over what he describes as “genocidal violence” targeting Christian communities in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, warning that more than 600,000 displaced Christians are currently packed into Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps across Benue State. Moore, who represents West Virginia’s 2nd District, recently visited several camps in the state, where he said he encountered survivors living with trauma from years of relentless attacks. The congressman described the accounts he heard as “horrible” and “unforgettable.” In a series of posts on his official X handle, Moore shared harrowing testimonies from victims who recounted brutal killings carried out during raids on rural villages.
