 Somali PM calls on Somaliland to cut Israel ties, urges reconciliation Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has called on Somaliland’s leadership to cut ties with Israel and to resolve disputes with the federal government through dialogue. Barre said relations among Somalis should be addressed through talks rather than confrontation, in remarks during a ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of North East State. In December 2025, Israel announced mutual recognition with Somaliland, a move strongly rejected by the Somali government as a breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity and criticised by many countries across the world. “Regarding our brothers in Somaliland, I have nothing new to say. TRUCK CRASHED INTO A VEHICLE AT POLICE CHECKPOINT IN UKPOR+POLICEMEN ESCAPED DEATH.{PHOTOS}.

       Lucky men of the Nigerian police force escape death this morning in Amadim Ukpor, A town in Anambra state as a full loaded sand truck failed to climb a hilly road and resorted to uncontrollable reverse.
The policemen who were on duty at the checkpoint implored their colleague who parked the car to rush relocate the vehicle, unfortunately he wasn't fast enough as the truck crashed on it while the police driver entered to ignite and shift the vehicle.
It was a sad moment as colleagues and others present thought that a life has been lost but miraculously, The man creeped out slightly hurt.The police vehicle belongs to the Ukpor Police Division.More photos below.
