 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. FEDERAL MINISTRY OF YOUTH AND SPORTS BESTOWS AWARDS OF OUTSTANDING PREFORMANCES TO MEDAL WINNING NIGERIAN ARMY ATHLETES AND COACHES.{PHOTOS}.

     The Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports, on friday at Abuja, held an awards night for national athletes who won laurels for the country at international Championships held in 2017. The ceremony took place today Friday 19th January 2018 at the Package A of the National Stadium Abuja amidst pomp and pageantry.
Three Nigerian Army Athletes and two coaches received awards for outstanding performances which were handed over to them by the Honourable Minister for Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalong. The athletes were; Private Tochukwu Okeke who won a Bronze Medal at the Senior African Wrestling Championship held at Marrakech, Morocco in April 2017, Private Winnie Gofit, who won a Gold Medal at the African Judo Championship held at Dakar, Senegal in November 2017 and Lance Corporal Yetunde Odunuga, who won a Silver Medal at the African Boxing Championship held at Congo-Brazzaville in June 2017.

The award winning coaches include Warrant Officer Miller Waribo for Judo and Staff Sergeant Umar Mohammed for boxing. The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General TY Buratai has congratulated the athletes and coaches for the feats achieved and awards.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
