 Guinea-Bissau stops vaccine study funded by Trump administration Guinea-Bissau's foreign minister has said his government has stopped a study funded by the Trump administration aiming to evaluate side effects of the life-saving hepatitis B vaccine, including any links to autism. The West African country, one of the region's poorest, has high rates of hepatitis B, and the prospective study had drawn an outcry from scientists and international health bodies because only half the newborns in the trial would get the vaccine at birth. World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus said it was not ethical. Guinea-Bissau last month suspended the trial pending an ethical review. Critics had said it was being used to test theories linking vaccines to autism, long promoted by U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr but contradicted by scientific evidence. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ARMY VISITS 82 DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY.#PRESS RELEASE.{PHOTOS}.

         The House of Representatives Sub Committee on army has visited the 82 Division Nigerian Army, today Thursday the 11th January 2018.
The honourable members were on oversight function to assess 2017 Nigerian Army capital projects in the Division's Area of Responsibility.
In this light, the first point of call was the Headquarters of the Division, Abakpa Military Cantonment Enugu, where the members were conducted round major infrastructural projects including soldiers' living accommodation constructed or renovated by the Nigerian Army in Abakpa Cantonment Enugu.
While going round the One Million Litres of water per day urban water treatment plant in the cantonment, the leader of the team, Honourable Musa Ado Tsamiya, commended the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai and the General Officer Commanding 82 Division Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar for the renovation works and the construction of the water plant which are easing the accommodation and water needs of the barracks and its neighbouring communities of Abakpa Nike, New Haven and Otiba.
