 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ARMY VISITS 82 DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY.#PRESS RELEASE.{PHOTOS}.

         The House of Representatives Sub Committee on army has visited the 82 Division Nigerian Army, today Thursday the 11th January 2018.
The honourable members were on oversight function to assess 2017 Nigerian Army capital projects in the Division's Area of Responsibility.
In this light, the first point of call was the Headquarters of the Division, Abakpa Military Cantonment Enugu, where the members were conducted round major infrastructural projects including soldiers' living accommodation constructed or renovated by the Nigerian Army in Abakpa Cantonment Enugu.
While going round the One Million Litres of water per day urban water treatment plant in the cantonment, the leader of the team, Honourable Musa Ado Tsamiya, commended the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai and the General Officer Commanding 82 Division Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar for the renovation works and the construction of the water plant which are easing the accommodation and water needs of the barracks and its neighbouring communities of Abakpa Nike, New Haven and Otiba.
