 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. PRESIDENT BUHARI PRESIDES OVER FEC MEETING TODAY+SOME MINISTERS GAVE PRESS BRIEFING AFTER THE MEETING.{PHOTOS}.

        PHOTOS: Today's Weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chamber, State House.
FEC briefing is about to kick off. Minister of Information Lai Mohammed is presiding and also addressing the press are Ministers of Water Resources, Agriculture, Health, and Minister of State, Power, Works and Housing.
Highlights of the briefing:
1.) Ministry of Water Resources- FEC approved a memo for the completion of an abandoned irrigation project benefiting Kano & Jigawa States. This project, abandoned since 2000, is presently at 50% completion and will increase irrigation hectarage in Nigeria by more than 2000 hectares. Expected completion period for this project is 24 months. The irrigation project is one of the 116 large-scale abandoned/uncompleted projects inherited by the Ministry and they are determined to complete all abandoned projects.
