 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.        According to a report shared by a social media user, an unidentified man killed four of his children and their housemaid at Ntueke Street, Awada, Onitsha.
It is still unclear as to the reason why he killed them.When neighbors and some sympathizers visited the scene, it could be seen that the man still had signs of life in him.Another source said '' a man killed four of his children and their house maid at their residence in Ntueke Street Awada, Onitsha area of Anambra state. The man without any cause the man picked up a knife and began slaughtering his children like animals in cold blood. There has been no confirmed reason on what could have led to the barbaric behaviour displayed by the man as at the time of filing this report. .More details later.More photos below.
